A 33% reduction means our library will be ... lesser. Less able to provide services to the community. Less able to do outreach. Fewer books. Fewer programs. Less technology. Just... LESS! We don't want that to happen.
Curious about where the Library budget usually goes? Visit their annual reports on their website. As you can see, over 75% of the budget typically goes to paying staff salary and benefits. Librarians are the most valueable asset and they are irreplaceable. With these cuts... we lose the value in our library.
Saving Loveland Public Library is just one of many goals of the Save Our Services committee. All City of Loveland departments will be drastically effected because of the budget reductions. Visit the full Save Our Services Loveland website for more information.
Voting YES on Ballot Issue 2E will provide the funding needed so that these cuts never happen
